Brand ambassador Laura Philipp - third at 2017 World Championships

Laura Philipp is world class

A 1.9 km swim in the Tennessee River, 90 km of cycling on Look Mountain and a 21.1 km run - at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships 2017, our brand ambassador captured the bronze podium and is officially a world class athlete, of whom we can expect a great deal more in the future. With a total time of 4:19:40 hours, in the end she was 7:42 minutes behind two-time Ironman World Champion Ryf and only 65 seconds behind second place.

From the very start, Laura Philipp gave everything she had at this World Championships: after exiting the water following 1.9 km in the Tennessee River, she put the pedals down on the cycling route, climbing over 1,000 meters of altitude. She climbed into second place in the first 15 kilometers and continued her sensational leadership. Even the seemingly unbeatable Ryf couldn't break her will and Philipp was in and out of second behind her. Overjoyed, she finally finished third place overall following a spectacular run and a dogged duel with Pallant, happily high-fiving spectators. "I didn't expect that. Unbelievable!"

Dear Laura, what else can we say, but hats off! We are proud of you. That was an extraordinary performance that was shown here and leaves us hopeful for the future. Thank you for this sensational success!
