Ospa named among the TOP 100 innovators of 2024
Mutlangen – Newly Crowned Innovation Champion: Ospa Schwimmbadtechnik Pauser GmbH & Co. KG from Mutlangen has received the TOP 100 Innovator Award for 2024. This award is given only to particularly innovative mid-sized companies. Science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar will personally congratulate Ospa on this achievement at the award ceremony on June 28 in Weimar.
Ospa successfully passed the scientific selection process and is now among the top innovators for the third time. The company has made a name for itself worldwide in the field of pool technology and is the leading system manufacturer of water treatment systems for private and public pools — a pioneer in the industry with experience dating back to 1929. As the only manufacturer, this family-run company develops and produces all components of water treatment in Germany. More than 68,000 Ospa systems in commercial pools, private and hotel pools, therapy pools in sanatoriums and clinics, and leisure and adventure pools at home and abroad testify to the great trust customers place in Ospa.
In addition to developing new products, the continuous improvement of existing solutions is an integral part of the company’s innovation strategy. „Our successfully launched products have enormous potential, which we continually reinterpret for the benefit of our customers” explains Managing Director Michael Pauser. This year, many products have also been enhanced with new ideas and considerations.
„Good ideas and quick, customer-oriented implementation play a decisive role for us in the competition” say Ospa managing directors Stefan and Michael Pauser. „Constantly adapting our innovation management ensures continuous new developments. We rely on the creativity of our dedicated employees. Our thanks go to them this year for once again achieving the ‘Top 100’ award.”
On June 28, all the top innovators of the 2024 cohort will gather at the “Congress Centrum Weimarhalle” for the award ceremony as part of the German Mittelstand Summit. There, Ranga Yogeshwar will personally congratulate them on their success in the TOP 100.
TOP 100: The competition
On behalf of compamedia, the organizer of the competition, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and his team examined the innovative strength of all participants based on more than 100 criteria across five categories: top management promoting innovation, innovation climate, innovative processes and organization, external orientation/open innovation, and innovation success. “Are companies capable of creating new products, new services, new processes, and new business models? And are these achievements merely coincidences or the result of a structured and targeted approach? These are the questions we investigate in TOP 100,” explains Nikolaus Franke about his evaluation method. Another crucial aspect is how and whether innovations and product improvements have been able to establish themselves in the market (more information about the evaluation criteria can be found at www.top100.de/pruefkriterien).
