Laura Philipp wins Ironman 70.3 Dubai

Laura Philipp gewinnt beim 70.3 Dubai

What a sensational start to the season! A huge congratulations to our brand ambassador and triathlete Laura Philipp on her phenomenal victory at the Ironman 70.3 Dubai.

She looked on fine form during the swim and even set off on the bike just ahead of Daniela Ryf. By this stage of the race, none of the other athletes had any chance of catching up with Laura and Daniela. The pair of them covered the 90 kilometres in an incredible time of 2:04:52. Laura managed to break away from the Swiss five-time world champion at the start of the half marathon and ran towards victory.

Laura crossed the finish line with a time of 3:53:03, the fastest ever recorded for this distance.

When preparing to compete at this high level, Laura continues to train with the Ospa-PowerSwim as she has been doing for years now. We love having Laura Philipp on board as an Ospa ambassador and are extremely grateful that we can rely on her expert input into our ongoing work to improve our professional counter-current systems. We are proud to be able to provide our customers with the opportunity to train like a top professional athlete at home with our Ospa counter-current systems.

We wish Laura Philipp the best of luck for the 2021 Ironman World Championship, which has been postponed to May 2022 due to the pandemic. This is the first time the event is not being held in Hawaii, with the athletes set to compete in St. George in Utah instead.

Keep up the incredible work, Laura!
