The blue lagoon

Light and movement become architect

The goal the builder had for this pool room, to be created in the basement of his villa, was clearly defined: reduction to the essential. Therme Vals, in the Graubünden canton of Switzerland, was to serve as the model.

The result can best be described as a "blue miracle:" all surfaces of the room, devoid of daylight, are made of the same material. As a result, the room seems to be carved from stone. The scene in the room and on the water surface is set by the lighting effects of the pool lighting.

Eight Ospa LED RGB spotlights with DMX control are used for the desired lighting effect. They ensheath the water surface in a preferred blue sea of color. The massive wall surface is broken only by an illuminated waterfall.

The pool, with about 65 m² in area, is equipped with two Ospa High-Level skimmers. These enable an extraordinarily high water level for skimmer pools.

A dual-lane Ospa counter-current system and a  massage station with four jets provide for active recuperation in the pool. In the background, Ospa swimming pool technology with Eco Filter, chlorozone unit and pH dosing station provide for spring-fresh, skin and eye-friendly healthy water. Water parameters, lighting and features are reliably and conveniently controlled by Ospa-BlueControl.
